Lendas Crete

Leaving the fertile Messara Plain you will find the southern coastal settlement of Lendas. The journey to Lendas affords breathtaking views of the Libyan Sea and rocky mountain peaks.
Lendas has crystal clear sea and a fine beach with beachside tavernas.

A short distance away is the ancient town of Leben which, during the Greek-Roman period served as a harbour for Gortys. Leben was famous in antiquity for its healing spring waters and attracted many people to settle there. The waters still flow today.
